Watermelon Tourmaline Drops

I bought these beautiful watermelon tourmaline cabochons from a retired lapidary some years ago, they were bookend cut and so beautiful, I knew I would never find these again. I looked at them from time to time and sketched out design ideas, but nothing seemed to quite work. By chance I stumbled over these cat's eye tourmaline years later and voila! 

Bookend cut Brazilian watermelon tourmalines are highlighted by mismatched cat's eye pink and green tourmalines, also from Brazil. Set in our signature hand finished gold. A collector's pair.
