Black Pearl Spider Charm

Symbolically, black pearls are associated with love, wisdom, protection and rarity.

In Polynesian mythology, the god Oro descended from a rainbow to gift a black pearl to the people of Polynesia, symbolizing eternal love and divine blessing. Another legend tells of the moon goddess Rona, whose tears fell into the sea and were transformed into black pearls by oysters. Ancient Chinese myths claim black pearls originated from the brains of dragons, representing wisdom and strength, and were released only upon the dragon’s death. Sailors and pirates told tales of a mystical black pearl capable of controlling the weather at sea, they were often depicted in art and folklore

Here, an oversize teardrop black pearl is decorated with our signature gold and platinum granulated Spider Cap. Inspired by the goldsmiths of antiquity, who used gold granules of different sizes to paint scenes and tableaux on their work, this unique and elegant amulet charm has a combination of buttery gold and polished platinum granules for a modern look, perfect for everyday wear. The points on the star give the appearance of spidery "legs", decorated with tiny gold granules. A 20k gold clasp is included.
